Delve Week 10
So, it’s been a few weeks. . .
BUT we’re finally back and ready to get rolling with Delve!
This week, we’re diving into this prompt: If you had $50,000 for your business, how would you use the funds to grow your business?
We would begin by using this money to build up a strong set of branding materials. This would include a logo, color scheme, and branding guidelines for our business. A good, clean, and communicative design is essential for any business trying to find their place in the market.
Money dedicated to this: $5,000
After branding was developed, we would need to dedicate some more of this money to our companies web design and app design (for both iOS and Android platforms). Having a clean website with corresponding apps would make our business feel approachable, professional, and legitimate.
Money dedicated to this: $5,000
After we had branding and a place to put it on the web, we would need to begin advertising. We think the best way to advertise would be through instagram (using the promote feature, having influencers use our service/promoting it/giving them money in return), pinterest, via paid advertisements, and facebook, via paid advertisements. E-Marketing will be essential to growing our business; we want to send the right message, to the right person, at the right time. This includes potential customers AND clients (ex. Local businesses). We know these are great places to promote our business because they are very popular social platforms that many demographics use. This will increase our reach and will be well worth the money in the long run. This will also cover anything from outdoor advertisements such as billboards and posters, to electronic advertising.
Money dedicated to this: $10,000
We also realize we would need money to pay employee salaries, operational costs, such as rent for an office, office supplies, and furniture, and insurance costs. These are all a very important part of running a business, too! Insurance may require a lawyer and a lot of paperwork that we may not know how to do. The lump sum of this money will go towards hiring someone to take care of this task for us.
